Owens v. Monsanto Company(US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and Circuit Court of St. Louis County, Missouri)

We represent several thousand African-Americans who live in Anniston, Alabama and were injured as a result of PCB contamination. The cases settled several years ago during the course of trial. The settlement contained a “most favored nations” clause entitling our clients to additional compensation if parallel litigation later settled on more favorable terms. After settling the other cases, Monsanto refused to pay all of the additional compensation that our clients allegedly are owed. The pending litigation seeks to recover the additional compensation for our clients.
