Chambers and Partners, in its guide to America's leading business lawyers, reported that our firm is "best known for its set of hugely talented plaintiff lawyers."
Our lawyers graduated from leading law schools. Most served as editors of their law reviews. Two lawyers were student body presidents in college. One was the National Collegiate Debate Champion and a national moot court finalist. Two of our lawyers served as presidents of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Another was president of the Georgia chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. And firm lawyers were inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the American Law Institute.
Our lawyers were also active in civic, charitable, and political arenas. Firm lawyers served on the boards of two universities and organizations such as the State Bar of Georgia, the national board of the ACLU, the national board of the NOW Legal Defense Fund, and the National Childhood Cancer Foundation. Our lawyers also were appointed to positions charged with screening candidates for federal and state judgeships and we routinely advised and assisted candidates for public office.
Our lawyers were frequent speakers at educational programs for other lawyers and published articles and book chapters on many areas of trial practice.
